"The worst pollution in Puget Sound comes from our storm water," according to Maribeth Crandell, environmental educator for the City of Oak Harbor. Stormwater carries everything from cleaning products and detergents to household paint, pet waste, antifreeze, metals from vehicle fuels and tires, and hydrocarbons. And it all washes downslope to Puget Sound.
